Vitale Studios located in Macomb and Sandusky Michigan.
Carlo Vitale is a Michigan based artist. Born and raised in Detroit, he spent summers working on his relative's farm in Michigan's thumb area. Active in the Detroit art scene in the 1970's to present, his work has been categorized by some as part of the second generation of Detroit's Cass Corridor Movement. He studied at Wayne State University where he received his Masters Degree. The work is influenced by agricultural themes along with the colorful imagery of the artist's everyday life. The work generates kinetic and optical effects that are conjured up from musical obsessions and the spirituality found in the art process.
The first virtue of a painting is that it be a feast for the eyes. (Eugene Delacroix)
